Retro Auto Detail is a small automotive detailing company that was started by a car enthusiast who loved all different types of cars.
Our journey
It went from a side hustle to the main hustle within a year after many hours of constructing the business plan. We want to provide a quality service that is affordable yet competitive.
The owner of RADSTL, Russell Sanders, runs the business out of his 20x40 shop that he renovated himself with the help of his good friend, Aaron Ward.

The retro in Retro Auto Detail
Alongside daily drivers and fresh paint, the shop takes on classics and barn finds — cars that have sat for decades — and gives them a second chance at life.
’67 Chevelle Malibu
Sat for 35 years in a garage in downtown St. Louis. Russell Sanders bought it and did the necessary maintenance — fluids, hoses, carburetor, distributor, fuel system and brakes.

2004 Chevy Tahoe
24,000 original miles. Sold for $25,000 — private sale through Facebook.

The 20x40 shop — and the mobile unit
RADSTL works out of the 20x40 shop in Florissant that Russell Sanders renovated himself with Aaron Ward — and on the road. The mobile unit brings its own water and power, so all we need at your place is room to work around the vehicle. Mobile service covers a 50-mile radius of St. Louis County.
